Dr Aliyana Shabo grew up in Etobicoke. She completed a bachelors degree with a Major in Biology and Physics at the University of Toronto. She continued to pursue her education at the University of Aston in England for Optometry, graduating with honours and becoming a member of the College of Optometrists in the United Kingdom. Dr Shabo then converted her license back in Ontario to continue to pursue her love in Optometry back in her hometown. She loves travelling with her husband and two son’s, to quench her thirst of knowledge of different cultures around the world. She is very passionate in giving her patients the best quality of care, as she has worked alongside ophthalmologists and has experience in post-operative care. Dr Shabo has great passion for art and spends her free time painting. That is why her goal is to help her patients see the world through a different lens. Dr Shabo believes in four key values that her patients should experience in her care: trust, honesty, comfort, and comprehension.
