Dr. Arwa Shabo received her Honours Bachelor of Science Degree from University of Toronto, and continued pursuing her passion in healthcare by obtaining her Optometry degree at Aston University in Birmingham, UK in 2016. She continued her academic advancement by receiving a Master of Optometry in her last year of residency. After several years of travel and working abroad she decided to come back to her roots in Ontario, and obtained her Doctor of Optometry degree at the University of Waterloo School of Optometry in 2019.
Dr. Shabo has extensive experience in cataract management and post-ops, macular degeneration, general glaucoma management and glaucoma post-operative care, optic nerve and retina pathologies, and all refractive disorders as she works alongside ophthalmologists part-time. She is certified in topical and oral therapeutic agents, and strives to offer the best eye care with direct focus on patient needs.
In her spare time she enjoys travelling, working out, reading and hiking. Dr. Shabo is licensed by the Ontario College of Optometry and is a member of the Ontario Association of Optometry.
